Some of the students of MEAD spent time on Mt Rainier Sep 18 through the 22nd. It was a very wet week and there was even some snow at times.
Due to the weather conditions the students were able to learn about another side of the re-vegetation project that MEAD has been a part of for the last 20 years. They were able to go through the beginning of the process by taking clippings and re-germinating local species.
The adverse weather did not get them down but taught them to persevere and problem solve to accomplish the goal at hand.
